University of Southern California

Adjunct Professor, Thornton School of Music

As an adjunct professor at the USC Thornton School of Music, I have the privilege of sharing my industry experience with the next generation of music executives and artist managers. My course on artist management is designed to provide students with real-world insights into building and sustaining successful careers in the entertainment industry.

With decades of experience managing and developing artists, I understand the complexities of navigating the modern music business. My curriculum covers everything from contract negotiations and touring logistics to branding, merchandising, and digital strategy. I emphasize the importance of artist development, ensuring students grasp how to build a long-term career trajectory rather than chasing short-term success.

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching at USC is bringing industry leaders into the classroom. Through guest lectures, case studies, and hands-on projects, my students engage directly with artists, managers, and executives, gaining firsthand knowledge of what it takes to thrive in the business.

Beyond technical skills, I stress the importance of adaptability, creative problem-solving, and ethical leadership. The music industry is constantly evolving, and my goal is to equip students with the mindset and strategies necessary to navigate these changes.

Teaching at USC allows me to give back to an industry that has shaped my career. By mentoring and guiding the next wave of talent, I hope to inspire students to not only succeed in artist management but to help shape the future of music with integrity and innovation.
